The owners of a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the unincorporated area of Riverside.
The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mitsubishi.

A short while later, deputies from the Riverside County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Mitsubishi Galant with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Mitsubishi to the 4900 block of Grapefruit Blvd. in the city of Coachella. Two suspects have been identified with the theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mitsubishi Galant in January 2007 at San Bernardino Mitsubishi in California.
