The owners of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade contacted the San Diego Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

At a later time, deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Cadillac to a golf course resort area near Evan Hewes Hwy and Anderholt Road in the city of Holtville.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac Escalade in March 2007 at Penske Cadillac Hummer of South Bay in Torrance, California.
