This Acura was taken from the owners’ residence located in the 2400 block of Star Lake Road in Federal Way. The owner left the Acura running while he dumped some trash and observed a male suspect get in the car and drive away.

The theft was immediately reported to the Federal Way Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Less than two hours later, a Washington State Patrol trooper picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Acura was located in the 9600 block of South 252nd Street near Kent.

The Acura was abandoned and did not appear to be damaged.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura TSX in May 2008 at Ball Automotive in National City, California.
