The owner of a Nissan Armada contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen while parked in front of her residence in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within 4 minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to a residential neighborhood located in the 1700 block of Del Sur Blvd. in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Armada in October 2004 at Mossy Nissan in National City, California.
