The owners of a Cadillac CTS contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the unincorporated city of Rancho San Diego.

The San Diego County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Within 38 minutes, deputies from the San Diego County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Cadillac to the 1600 block of Woodrun Place in the city of El Cajon.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac CTS in March 2005 at Lou Ehlers Cadillac Pontiac GMC in Los Angeles, California.
