The owners of a 2014 Ford Focus contacted the Turlock Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victims stated they thought their wayward adult daughter may have taken the car without permission but they were not sure.

The Turlock PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers from the Ceres Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to a mall parking lot in the south part of Ceres. The officers observed a female suspect driving the Ford. A felony stop was conducted and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect was arrested and booked for driving without owners consent.

The victim was contacted and responded to take possession of their Ford.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Focus in August 2013 at Patchetts Ford in Turlock, California.
