The owners of a 2016 Toyota Corolla contacted the Vacaville Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated that sometime during the night, thieves broke into one of her vehicles parked on the street and stole several items. The thieves then discovered a set of keys to her 2016 Toyota that were in the vehicle. The thieves then used those keys to steal the Toyota which was parked in her driveway.
The Vacaville PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers from the Solano County Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to an ally near Alamo and I-80. The officers determined the Toyota was hidden in a garage. Officers contacted a suspect and determined he put the Toyota in the garage. Also discovered in the garage was a small marijuana grow.

The suspect was arrested for auto theft and receiving stolen property. He was booked into the Solano County Jail.

The victim was contacted and responded to take possession of her stolen Toyota.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2016 Toyota Corolla in November 2015 at Toyota of Vacaville in California.
