The owners of a 2015 Mazda MZ3 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mazda.

A short while later deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mazda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Mazda to the 5200 block of Oak Lawn Ave. in the city of Chula Vista.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mazda MZ3 in May 2015 at Westcott Mazda in San Diego, California.
