The owners of a 2015 Ford Fusion contacted the Los Angeles Police Department Topanga Division to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short time later, the LAPD “Air10” flight officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their air units. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the flight officers tracked the Ford to the area of the 8300 block of Cozy Croft. The Ford’s doors were open and the suspects were gone on arrival. The LAPD Topanga Division patrol officers responded to the location and recovered the stolen Ford.
The Ford was released to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Fusion in September 2014 at Galpin Ford in North Hills, California.
