The owners of a 2005 Honda Accord contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Santa Clarita Station to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The LASD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short time later, the LASD Santa Clarita patrol deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Honda to the area of the 20400 block of Soledad Canyon Road. The deputies conducted an investigation at the scene and took one suspect into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.
The Honda was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in September 2005 at Power Honda in Valencia, California.
