The owners of a 2014 Toyota Rav-4 contacted the Concord Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated a family member came over and after getting into a dispute, he left and took their Toyota.

The Concord PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Just 10 minutes later officers from the Concord PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 2000 block of Monterey St and conducted a felony traffic stop. The officers took the family member into custody without incident.

The owners were contacted, came to the location and took possession of their Toyota.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Rav-4 in January 2014 at Concord Toyota Sales in California.
