This Acura was taken during the early morning hours from the 19400 block of SE 266th Street in Covington.

When the theft was discovered, it was reported to the King County Sheriff’s Office who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura. Video recording of the area shows a male suspect entering the Acura with no forcible entry. The owner stated she lost a set of keys to the Acura.

That same afternoon, a King County SO deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Acura was located in the 18500 block of SE 267th Street in Covington, not far from the theft location. The investigation continues by the King County SO detectives.

The Acura had minor damage to the rear bumper.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura MDX in March 2004 by Metro Acura in Montclair, California.
