This Honda Civic was stolen from the parking lot of a movie theater complex located on SE Everett Mall Way, while the owner was inside for over two hours.

When he returned to the parking lot, the theft was discovered. It was immediately reported to the Everett Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A Washington State Patrol Trooper and a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC the Honda was located in an apartment complex in the 3000 block of 164th Street SW in Lynnwood.

A suspect with the Honda attempted to run away but was subdued. Investigation revealed he had an extensive record for past auto thefts.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in October 1996 at Weseloh Honda in San Juan Capistrano, California.
