The owners of a 2015 Toyota Camry contacted the San Jose Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated the Toyota was stolen sometime during the night while parked in the victim’s driveway.
The San Jose PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Just 20 minutes later officers from the San Jose PD and the Santa Clara Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the area of Sunwood and Lone Bluff streets, observed the vehicle parked and abandoned on the street.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in June 2015 at Toyota of Vacaville in California.
