This Honda Accord was stolen from the owner’s residence sometime during the night from the 27000 block of 227th Place SE in Maple Valley.

When the theft was discovered the following morning, it was reported to the King County Sheriff’s Office who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Less than one hour later, the Tacoma Police Department officers, equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Honda was located in the 700 block of Court East. A suspect with the Honda was taken into custody. The Honda had switched license plates from another Honda. The current owner bought the Honda as a used car and was not aware LoJack was installed when it in California.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda in May 1999 by Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos, California.
