The owner of a 1998 Honda Civic contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen. The owner stated the Honda was parked in front of his residence and when he went outside to go to work he discovered the Honda was missing.
The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Around thirty minutes after the stolen vehicle entry, officers from the Las Vegas Metro PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda and found it unoccupied.
The Honda was recovered and towed from the recovery scene for safekeeping to be returned to the owner at a later time. This was third time this Honda has been reported stolen and recovered by law enforcement using LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in April 2015 by San Diego County Credit Union in California.
