The owner of a 2015 Ford Fiesta contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report the vehicle as stolen. The owner and her sister parked the Ford at a Las Vegas Strip hotel parking lot where they left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside of it. The sisters walked the strip and when they returned they found the Ford to be missing.
The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Within ten minutes of the stolen vehicle entry, officers from the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford a few blocks away finding it unoccupied.
The Ford was recovered and returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Fiesta in October 2014 by Galpin Ford in North Hills, California.
