The owner of an Infiniti G35 contacted the Irvine Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of Irvine.
The Irvine PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

At a later time, officers from the San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infiniti to a commercial parking lot located at Channel and Sports Arena Blvd. in San Diego.
