The owners of a 2010 Honda Accord contacted the Inglewood Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The owners had video of the theft which occurred in front of their residence.

The Inglewood PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short later, the LAPD “Air 10” flight officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their aircraft and patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the flight officers tracked the Honda to the area of the Pico Blvd and Orange Ave. The LAPD Wilshire patrol officers responded to the location and conducted a felony traffic stop taking the female driver into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.

The Honda was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in July 2010 at Airport Marina Honda in Los Angeles, California.
