This Ford F450 was taken during the night as a result of a commercial burglary in Lakewood. The truck was stored behind a gated/fenced area in the 10900 block of Lakeview Avenue SW.

When the crime was discovered the following morning, it was reported to the Lakewood PD who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the truck.

Just four minutes later, agencies in the Pierce County picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford F450 on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the truck was located by a Lakewood PD officer in the 4100 block of 9th Street East in Puyallup. It was abandoned. Suspect information was developed and the investigation is continuing.

The owner was called to the scene to take possession of the Ford. The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F450 in June 2015 for a commercial customer in Oregon.
