
LoJack System Helps Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance Department Recover 2017 Ford F250 with Arrest within Minutes of Activation

The
owners of a 2017 Ford F250 reported the theft of their Vehicle to Cobb County
Police. Cobb County Police verified the theft and had the vehicle information entered into the state and
federal crime computers. This routine
action automatically activated the Silent LoJack®
System concealed in the Ford.
Within Minutes Officers with MCCD in Atlanta picked up the silent LoJack signal
from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are
installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.
Following the directional and audible cues from his PTC, the Officer
tracked the vehicle to warehouse where he found the vehicle with three
occupants The Officer was able to keep the vehicle from leaving and detaining
the suspects inside. During questioning of the suspect’s it was learned that
the driver was the one who had stolen the vehicle and he was arrested. The driver was taken to Jail and the vehicle
was recovered without any damage. The vehicle was tracked and recovered with an
arrest in less than one hour after being entered as stolen.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford in March 2017, as a Commercial Install in Atlanta, Ga.
