The owners of a 2015 Toyota Tundra contacted the Tracy Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated that when he went out to go to work he discovered unknown suspects had stolen his Toyota sometime during the night. The Toyota had been parked in his driveway.
The Tracy PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers from the Delta RATT auto theft task force and the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the area of Grant Line Rd and Hwy 205. This is a rural area west of Tracy. The officers observed the Toyota parked and abandoned on Grant Line Rd. The Toyota did not appear to sustain any damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in July 2015 at Roseville Toyota in California.
