The owners of a 2015 Honda Civic contacted the Antioch Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated the Honda was stolen sometime during the night while parked in his driveway.
The Antioch PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda Civic.

Less than 2 hours later, officers from the California Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the 900 block of Hawthorn Blvd. The officer observed the Honda parked and abandoned on the street. The Honda did not appear to have sustained any damage.
The Honda was towed for safe keeping to be released to the owner later.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in October 2015 at Winter Honda in Pittsburg, California.
