This Audi was taken during the night from the owners’ driveway, located in the 5200 block of NE 3rd Place in Renton.

When the theft was discovered, it was reported to the Renton Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

A Washington State Patrol trooper picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Audi was located in the 300 block of Smithers Avenue South in Renton.

It did not appear to be damaged.

The owner was called to the scene to take possession of the Audi.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi A6 in August 2005 at Audi Mission Viejo in California.
