The owners of a 2007 Lexus RX350 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

A while later officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to a residential neighborhood located near the 3200 block of Horton Ave. in the city of San Diego. The Lexus was found abandoned and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus in August 2006 at Jim Faulk Lexus of Beverly Hills in California.
