The owner of a 2004 Ford F-350 contacted the San Diego County Sherriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of El Cajon.
The San Diego County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Within 34 minutes of activation, officers from the San Diego Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to a residential area located near the 6500 block of Carthage Street in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F-350 in March 2005 at Mossy Ford in Colton, California.
