The owners of a Cadillac STS contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the city of Moreno Valley.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Within 29 minutes of the activation, deputies from the San Diego County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Cadillac to the 3000 block of Lee Bar Ranch in the city of Pala. One suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Cadillac STS in December 1998 at Casa De Cadillac in Sherman Oaks, California.
