The owners of a 2016 Ford Fusion contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen.

The LASD Lakewood verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Only 18 minutes later deputies from the LASD Lakewood picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Ford to a residential area in the city of Bellflower.  They found the Ford abandoned and undamaged. The Ford was recovered and later returned to its owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Fusion in July 2015 at Santa Margarita Ford in California.
