The owner of a 2006 Nissan Frontier pickup contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen from his driveway. The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within a short time after the activation, officers from the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the Nissan unoccupied. The Nissan was recovered, towed for safekeeping and will be released back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Frontier in April 2006 by Mossy Nissan in Oceanside, California.
