The owner of a 2008 Cadillac Escalade contacted the Anaheim Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen from their limousine company.  The Anaheim PD auto theft detective verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

Within just five minutes of the activation, and nearly 250 miles away from the original theft location, troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Cadillac to the area of W Warm Springs Road and S Jones Blvd, in a residential neighborhood.  The troopers narrowed down the signal to a two story townhouse and believed the Cadillac was concealed inside of one of the garage units.  The NHP troopers requested assistance from the day shift VIPER squad who promptly responded to the scene.  A LoJack hand held tracker was used to determine which garage unit the Cadillac was concealed in.  A search warrant was obtained and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department SWAT team and VIPER squad served the warrant.  The Cadillac was located inside of the garage and found to have its California license plates removed but was in good condition.  The Cadillac was recovered, towed from the scene for safe keeping and will be released to its owner.
