The owner of a 1999 Nissan Frontier contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen. The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within just two minutes of the activation, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the Nissan to a parking lot and unoccupied in the area of Central and 1st Street. The Nissan was recovered and will be released back to the owner.
