The owners of a 2014 Hyundai Sonata contacted the Buena Park Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.
The Buena Park PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyundai.

Only 12 minutes later officers from the Buena Park PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hyundai with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Hyundai to a residential area where they found the Hyundai abandoned and undamaged. The Hyundai was recovered and returned to its owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hyundai Sonata in March 2014 at Romero Buick Hyundai Mazda in Ontario, California.
