The owners of a 2014 Jaguar XF contacted the California Highway Patrol to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated that they left their Jaguar parked in front of a friend’s house on Cimarron Way in Granite Bay overnight and when he returned the next morning it was missing.
The CHP verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

Later officers from the Placer County Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jaguar to the area of Whitney Blvd and Springville Dr. in the city of Rocklin. The officers observed the Jaguar was parked and abandoned on the street. The Jaguar did not appear to have sustained any damage.
The owner was contacted and responded to take possession of his Jaguar.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar XF in January 2015 at Jaguar of Sacramento in California.
