The owners of a 1998 Honda Civic contacted the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The Fresno County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Less than one hour later, an officer from the Fresno Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Honda to a residential alley near Huntington and Peach avenues in southeast Fresno. The Honda was found unoccupied and abandoned in the alley.

The Honda was recovered intact and undamaged; it was released to the owner at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda in March 2003 at Gardena Honda in California.
