The owners of a Mazda MPV contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.
An officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mazda.

Eight-minutes later officers with the Denver PD and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mazda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Denver PD officers tracked the Mazda to the 800 block of South Quebec Street and recovered the vehicle. It was secured for the safe and prompt return to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mazda MPV in August 2002 at Oak Tree Mazda in San Jose, California.
