The owner of a 1993 Honda Accord contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen. The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

In just under an hour of the activation, officers from the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda and located it abandoned. The Honda was recovered and released back to the owner. This is the fourth time this Honda has been reported stolen and successfully recovered with the use of LoJack by law enforcement.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in March 1993 by Robertson Honda North Hollywood in California.
