The owners of a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu contacted the Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Division to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short time later, the LAPD-Foothill patrol officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to the area of the 9900 block of Tujunga Canyon Road. The Chevrolet was located, parked at a multi-unit duplex.

The Chevrolet was recovered and returned to the owner.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Malibu in December 2014 by Rydell Chevrolet in Northridge, California.
