The owner of a 2008 BMW 335I contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

Within 10 minutes officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the BMW to a residential neighborhood located in the 8600 block of Converse Avenue in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW in December 2014 by Lexus Escondido in California.
