The owners of a 2015 MINI Cooper contacted the Long Beach Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.
The Long Beach PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the MINI Cooper.

Only 22 minutes later officers from the Long Beach PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen MINI Cooper with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the MINI Cooper to a commercial area where they found the vehicle parked and unoccupied. The new MINI Cooper was recovered undamaged and returned to its owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the MINI Cooper in March 2015 by Crevier MINI in Santa Ana, California
