The owner of a 2006 Chrysler 300 made contact with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen.  The owner his granddaughter had possession of the Chrysler when offenders stole it from in front of the residence while the keys were in the ignition and the engine was running.  The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

Within five minutes of the activation, Officers with the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Officers tracked the Chrysler and located it unoccupied.  The Chrysler was released to the owner at the recovery scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 300 in March 2009 by Midway Jeep Chrysler in San Diego, California.
