The owner of a 2009 Audi TT contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Within 19 minutes, officers from the San Diego PD Air Unit (ABLE) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to a commercial area located in the 3900 block of Fiesta Island Road in San Diego. Ground units were dispatched to the area for the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi TT Coupe in August 2014 by Audi San Diego in California.
