The owner of a 2006 Chrysler 300 contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report her vehicle was stolen. The owner was at a public laundromat when she discovered her vehicle keys and Chrysler were stolen.
The LASD Century verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

A short while later deputies from the LASD Century picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. The patrol deputies requested the assistance of the LASD Air 7 to locate the stolen Chrysler. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, Air 7 located the Chrysler traveling on the 105 freeway at Long Beach Boulevard. Patrol deputies got behind the stolen Chrysler and safely pulled the vehicle over. One male occupant was detained and questioned. The suspect claimed he was lent the Chrysler by a “friend.” The suspect was arrested and the undamaged Chrysler, along with her stolen keys, was returned to the owner at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 300 in September 2006 by Moothart Chrysler in Cerritos, California.
