The owners of an Infiniti G35 contacted the Unified Police Department and reported that their vehicle was stolen.

An officer verified the vehicle information and had it entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later an officer with the Unified PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC and with other officers being vectored into the vicinity of the “hit” the Infiniti was quickly located.

The owners were informed of the location of the undamaged Infiniti and the theft report cleared, thus shutting off the homing beacon emitting from the LoJack transponder in the car.

The surprised and happy owners got their Infiniti back quickly and the police provided a prompt and valuable service to the victims who were unaware that their vehicle was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti G35 in March 2004 at the request of the original owner of the Infiniti by Auto Nation Infiniti South Bay, Torrance, California.
