The owner of a 2005 Infinity G35 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infinity.

Within five minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infinity with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infinity to a commercial area near a motel on El Cajon Blvd. in La Mesa. Two suspects were detained and the driver was taken into custody for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infinity G35 in May 2005 by Discover Infinity of San Diego in California.
