The owner of a 2009 Toyota Camry contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from her residence in the city of Perris.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later, deputies from the Riverside County SD Perris station picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota Camry with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Toyota to a rural area and found it abandoned near Nuevo Junifer Flats and Stagecoach.
