The owners of a 2011 Ford F-350 contacted the Aurora Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

The Aurora PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford truck.

A short time while later officers with the Mountain View Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the parking lot of a discount department store.  The Ford was unoccupied upon their arrival but after a shot time two persons emerged from the store and entered the truck.  They were detained by officers for further investigation of the theft report and the Ford was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F-350 in January 2011 via Commercial Sales.
