The owner of a 2006 Nissan Titan Truck contacted the Chesapeake Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 400 block Lorton Court in Chesapeake, Virginia.

The Chesapeake PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the Norfolk Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the 1500 block Mason Street in Norfolk, Virginia. At that location, officers observed the Nissan parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the undamaged Nissan and notified the owner. Charging documents for the suspect who committed the vehicle theft are on file.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Nissan Titan in August 2006 by Mossy Nissan in San Diego, California.
