The owners of a 2014 Chrysler 300 contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

A short later, the LAPD-North Hollywood patrol officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chrysler to the area of Louvre Street and Norris Street. The Chrysler was located parked on the street and had been abandoned by the suspect.

The Chrysler was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 300 in March 2014 by Rydell Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in San Fernando, California.
