The owners of a 2010 Ford F250 called San Jose Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their home in San Jose, California.

The San Jose PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Just 10 minutes later, the San Jose PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the San Jose PD officers tracked the Ford to a residential side street in San Jose where the stolen Ford was parked abandoned on the street.  The owners of the undamaged Ford were contacted to recover their vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F250 in March 2010 by Frontier Ford in Santa Clara, CA.
