The owners of a 2015 Jaguar F-Type contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The Beverly Hills PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

A short time later, the Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys patrol officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jaguar to the area of Greenbush and Vanowen Street. The Jaguar was located parked on the street and had been abandoned by the suspect.

The Jaguar was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar in June 2014 by Galpin Jaguar Lincoln Volvo in Van Nuys, California.
